Ethan: Official Big Boy

So last night was the first night in Ethan's toddler bed (we just took the front part off of his crib). Yay Ethan! It was quite an experience though. At about 1:00 a.m., we heard little pattering feet downstairs and an occassional, "Dada! Mama!" We bolted out of bed and he was downstairs looking for us after which, he wanted to eat cereal. Goofy boy! It was such a fun memory though! Hopefully he will do better tonight!

Dad put one of our blankets on top of the crib and it made the big boy bed like a bazillion, qatrillion times cooler. Ethan was squealing from excitement!
Here he is about to go to bed... so excited!!!
Obviously, this is not a picture of his bed but it's just a cute picture of my two most special boys ever.

Shmeah, cute pictures. What prompted the change to a big boy bed?

Hi Mary and Mistie! He's actually doing really, really well in his bed now. We put up a gate on his door so if he needs to open his door, he can shout for us instead of wandering around looking for us. We were kinda doubtful after that first night, but he's been an angel boy!

It was kind of a random change to the bed though. Marko and I had been talking about starting it soon and one day after Ethan's nap, Mark just brought in some tools and did it. Ethan was soo excited!

The gate idea is great! The other day Maelie got up about an hour before we did... when we went to see what she was up to, she had emptied one of those large containers of yogurt -- some in the food processor, some on the couch, some in her hair, some on the step stool, you name it!
