Eliza is ONE!!

Our sweet Liza is one! We love that girl so much!

Here is a funny action shot of her crawling, I thought it was cute. You even get a little sneak peak of her leg rolls. MMM.

So there was a free day at one of the botanical gardens around us so we all went there for her birthday. It was a really nice treat. The mosquitos were eating us alive though.

So these pictures are obviously out of order. I'm getting less and less patient with this blog thing as some of you may have noticed with the lack of posts. Anyways, tried to put the pictures in order but it was being a pain so I gave up. So here she is very much enjoying the chocolate cake Ethan and I made her. Love the smile. It's so fun to see the difference between the kids-- she dug into her cake immediately while Ethan on his first birthday barely picked at his cake and didn't eat much of it. He likes to be very clean and she does not care one bit.

Back at the gardens. The boys made a cool fort while I was on the grass pulling grass, sticks, rocks, etc out of Eliza's mouth that she put in.
After cake, we played a game of crawl tag so we could include Liza. That didn't last long because she was very cranky. After that, we looked at pictures of when she was born. There were some pictures of Ethan holding Eliza and so he immediately wanted to hold her again like he was in the pictures. We put her on his lap and she started screaming and trying to wiggle away, hence the finger sucking. She sucks just those 2 fingers whenever she's bored, upset, tired, you name it.
Ethan man after we made the cake together.
Eating a rock at the gardens. Yum.
Playing king of the island.
They had this way cool fort thing there that Ethan liked to hang out in.Also for her birthday (kind of) we went to a fun amusement park with our friends. This is Ethan and his friend Tanner. We sure do love summer reading! All 4 of us plus our friends got in for free because of summer reading. Score! It was so fun and the boys loved it! More pictures of that to come later...

Also, I'm sure most of you are dying to know what the present was that I made her. You can't survive another day without knowing what it was right?! I knew it. Not quite done yet... still have 2 more small things to make for it. I'm hoping it will be done early next week. Pics later.

That's impossible. There's no way that she's one already. Such a cute birthday cake picture!

Those are such fun pictures. You guys are so creative with your activities; crawl tag and building a fort. The kids seem to be doing so well.
