First day of school!

Our sweet boy has grown so fast, to fast for our liking! Sending him off to school today was a very bittersweet feeling. It will be nice to have some time with Eliza and focus on getting her to communicate (!!!) but we sure did miss that little man like crazy. It's only a half day kindergarten, thank heavens, but we're still going to be going through serious Ethan withdrawls. He is definetly ready though, he was very excited about today and didn't look back once and wasn't nervous at all.

Him and I wrote in his journal after he came home from school about his first day. Here's what he said:
"This is for kids that are going to kindergarten that are scared. My first day of kindergarten was so fun and I didn't cry. It was so fun that I actually almost cried because it was so fun. The thing I did on the first day was learned about stuff and stuff like that and played. My favorite part is the books. And then drawing.
I love legos. Legos are the funnest thing ever. I'm playing with legos right now and I'm building a car. Legos are so fun because you can take them apart if you want. And you can take your Hot Wheels cars and build something for them with legos. End of compromise. Now legos are fun. I have 2 sets of legos and I usually play with them more than my Hot Wheels cars. End of compromise. One more compromise: this compromise is for people that love legos or getting legos. They are so fun. I almost always play with them. I'm building with legos right now. End of compromise. NO MORE COMPROMISES."
Whew. Can you tell what his favorite toy is?! He sure went off on a random tangent, especially with that compromise deal (?). We just love this boy to pieces and can't stand not squeezing and hugging and kissing him constantly.
