We LOVE summer reading!

This summer we went a little crazy about summer reading. We read and read and read and got prizes from 4 separate libraries around the area. Ethan's favorite book was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It was really fun to see how enthralled he was in the book. Mark was reading out loud to all of us one night and read the part where Charlie find the golden ticket. Ethan was SO excited he started screaming and jumping up and down on his bed with excitement for Charlie. So fun to see him so excited over books!! We then watched both old and new movies for comparison and it was fun to help him see all the similarities and differences between movie and book.
Anyways, so one of the prizes we got were free passes to a fun amusement park in town. Both the kids got unlimited ride tags... Eliza loved the horses and boat at first but then got spooked when her big bro wasn't on the ride with her. After that she didn't go on any more rides. But Ethan absolutely loved it and went on every ride except the roller coaster and ferris wheel.

Oh and here's a sneak peak at Eliza's birthday. I made her and her baby matching tutus. We all went mini golfing for only $5 (I am so proud of that great deal!) and had a joint birthday with a good friend. More pictures to come later. Sure love that sweet princess.
