Last weekend we hiked up to St. Mary's glacier about 45 mins away from us. The hike was easy but both kids had to be carried most of the way. It was so worth it, the views were spectacular and the glacier was fun to walk on. This is a picture of St. Mary's glacier in the right foreground with the same namesake lake behind my mt woman Leah and grizzly wrestler Ethan.

Taking a breather at the edge of the lake in a really ugly setting, the Rockies are so hideous..would you not agree.

Best watch out for Ethan, well only if you are a grizzly bear.

near the top of the glacier with Leah, Ethan and some snowboarder in the background. Officially this is an 'ice field' but I found two small crevasses and some small flow patterns indicating movement making this a glacier.

This picture is actually from the hike we did this weekend to Maxwell Falls, again close to home but not as beautiful as St Mary's Glacier that is until this little beauty went there. Here she is resting, something we do alot when hiking with the kids.

Havent you just wanted to take a nap on a slab of granite? Eliza is so independent she likes to walk through some really rough stuff without any help. Taday she slid down a steep section after rejecting a hand to help her and she bruised her little back. Owie...Owie...Owie, by the way owie is her favorite word.
