Ethan's tree is finally done (with a lot of help from sweet Marko)! Such a relief to finally get something out of the way! I am so so so pleased with how it turned out! I love it and wish there was more wall space in his room so I could do more cute things! This project was a looong process. I just hope the paper leaves last.

It's actually really big, it takes up one wall in his room. It looks so nice in his room!

Here is the cute little bird, my favorite part.

And, in comparison, how did I do? This was my inspiration... this is from the Pottery Barn website. So did mine come pretty close?!

I have been having my eye on this same tree from Pottery Barn. So I must say you have good taste! But it came out SUPER CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I Love love it!!! I think it looks great! I love to make my own knock-offs. What about decoupage-ing (sp?) the canvas's so that you don't have to worry about the paper coming off? ... just an idea.
My question is, what did your cost end up being to do it yourself?
I have a lot of friends who are working to copy that idea. I'll have to see how their copy cats turn out.
Your copy is great! I love the blue!
awesome job! And I think yours is better than Pottery Barn's!
I have seen that tree at Pottery Barn as well. Yours looks every bit as cute! Nice work.
Lindsay- it cost me about $30, not too bad considering it was selling at Pottery Barn for about $180!
Aimee- I tried using modge podge on it but the moisture just made the leaves all bubbly. We sprayed some kind of something on it, I forget what it was.
Leah, that looks so cute!! I am extremely impressed!
That is ADORABLE! I didn't realize how creative and crafty you are. Why didn't you whip something like that out while we were roommates?
Nice job. I don't have the patience to do anything like that. We've been in our house for two years now and I still haven't finished decorating Kaelyn's room! It's painted and that's about it.
How could I forget ya'll? Sometimes I think about that video scavenger hunt where Michael paid that girl to sing I'm a little tea pot. That was a fun night! I'm so glad to be able to keep up with ya'll now. We see Michael every once in a while. We don't live very far from them. Him and his wife are in my sister's ward.
awesome job leah!
