Ward Trunk-or-Treat party

This of course isn't the ward trunk-or-treat party, but it was just a cute picture. So here you go.
Here's the penguin costume!! I feel terrible, but that night I had to force the costume on him. I tried bribing but it didn't work. Anyways, he was sad the rest of the night and I felt terrible!
I always insist that we need a family theme at Halloween. This year was Antarctica. Ethan, of course, was the penguin. I was the arctic explorer looking for the cutest penguin in the world (which I found) and Mark was Antarctica.
Trying his very first piece of Halloween candy while I cringe from his sugar intake. He has been such a picky eater lately!
This is how we decorated the car for trunk or treat!!! Isn't it awesome?! It's a snowstorm in Antarctica of course! I painstakingly hot glued each cotton ball onto each piece of yarn then onto the cotton batting that we put on the ceiling. We put our back seat down in the Xterra so that kids could crawl through the snow storm and everyone LOVED it. All the kids kept coming back, well mostly for candy, but also to crawl through the snow storm. I love Halloween!!!

Leah, you are a creative genius! What a cute idea. I love the Arctic theme and I think nobody has ever done it in the history of Halloween. You make a great explorer and Mark looks good as an ice-covered continent. Well done! And the car decoration... well, you have far too much time on your hand, but it's cute anyway.

And let Ethan eat all the sugar he wants-- it won't hurt him and little boys should get lots of candy at Halloween. David and I have been enjoying his Halloween candy immensely.
