After much, much, much thought Mark decided on a bike over a motorcycle to commute with. He found the perfect bike! It's a Trek that's about 2 years old (but never been used) so it was a pretty good deal as far as good bikes go. It's super, super light... probably about 10 or 11 pounds and it will be great for biking to work on.

My favorite part are the spokes. Aren't those cool?!

My man on his new love. Since we've gotten it, Mark has spent A LOT of time just looking at it and playing with it. I can't talk though because I'm sure when our new amazing leather couch comes in (my very belated graduation gift), I will be looking and drooling at it just as much as he is.

So we went to the park for his first ride last Saturday. We borrowed a bike from a friend so I could ride a little too. It seemed illegal for me to be on a bike though. I sure miss biking!

Too much testosterone in our house... at the park, the boys were ALL about races, bike races, running races, etc.

And, off topic, Mark and I found these way cool shoes the other day. They're actually Teva's and they were only $13! We were so excited about our find that we didn't realize until we brought them home that one shoe was 6 and the other one 7. Oh well, hopefully they'll still work for this summer.
And again, off topic, this is a new discipline method we've started thanks to Mary. He gets his own cup and puts rocks in when he does something good and takes them out when he does something bad. When he gets to that line that you see on the cup, he gets a treat! He's really liked it so far!

awesome bike and I think I'll try that discipline method!
fun! hope you had a great mothers day!
I had to laugh at the sandals that are totally different sizes. What a funny thing! And WAY good choice on the bike. Biking is such amazing exercise, and we hope we live close enough to Dave's work one day that he can bike every day! And just think of the sweet tan lines Mark will get... hubba hubba!
Nice bike! That's nice that yu'ins got to go to the park and ride bikes. Good for Mark for biking to work!
